Center for community support-Dupnitsa is part of SONIK START Ltd., which is focused in the area of consulting, business-mediation, public- private partnerships and social entrepreneurship.
Essential purpose of the Center is to provide a set of social services and to improve the quality of life for children in risk and their families, using new robust methods while working with vulnerable groups of the society.
The Center’s aim is to provide an alternative to the institutional social care services by supporting children and their families in the development of healthy and safe family environment as well as by preventing the process of abandonment and institutionalization. It is our fundamental belief that children should be loved, rather than be abused and underrated.
The specialists who work in the Center include a manager, a social worker, a psychologist, an art-therapist and a pedagogue. The team is formed by young, active and ambitious people who operate to serve children’s best interest. The team respects every personal story and uses an individual approach to reach best results.
A good working climate with the institutions in Dupnitsa is established and daily contacts with the municipal leaders, The Agency for Social Assistance, Department of Child Protection, schools and kinder gardens in our town are common practice.
